Sheri Farabaugh

"It is a constant source of wonder that with nothing but a squeeze of paint, some good brushes, and a receptive surface you can tell a story. Transparency, reflections, the power of a flowing stream, a beam of sunshine illuminating the edges of my subject, can all be created on canvas. The hope of pulling off that little miracle every now and then is what brings me to my studio almost every day.  Finding beauty in the details has led me to a realistic style. I generally want to capture my subject as it is, editing only to achieve good composition or to lend emphasis to a particular aspect of that subject."

Sheri was awarded the Fellowship distinction with the American Society of Marine Artists in addition to being featured in an 8 page demonstration in the Oct/Nov 2017 issue of International Artist Magazine.

In 2017, shei attained Signature status with the Oil Painters of America and with the American Women Artists.

Sheri was featured in the March/April 2016 issue of Fine Art Connoisseur. One of her paintings was chosen
as the cover photo.
Sheri has also been featured in the International Artist Magazine "Seascapes, Lakes and Rivers" article, the American Society of Marine Artists Quarterly and she received an Award of Excellence from Southwest Art Magazine in 2014.

Most recently Sheri will have a feature article in the May 2019 Southwest Art issue.
